I am a long time autograph collector and  have used PSA authentication many times over the years. I have an autographed piece that I wanted authenticated. PSA has had a location in New Jersey where you could drop off pieces to be authenticated. As of around November 2023, they moved out of that building. Wanting to see if they moved that office some where, I tried calling them at their New Jersey office, their California office, and their generic 800 number. Two of the three calls were disconnected and the third one results in an outgoing message saying that no-one is there to take my call and then disconnects. I found a few news articles and videos saying PSA is weaning out of the sports card grading service but there is now mention of their autograph authentication business. Below is a link to one of those news items.

Does anyone know what is going on?

PSA is definitely not weaning out of the sports card grading. It's the biggest part of their business by far. That would be like BMW getting out of cars and just selling motorcycles.

The parent company, Collectors, leased a lot of space at Harborside in Jersey City in early 2022, partially for PSA's East Coast location. PSA has either completely relocated there or is in the process of doing so. I believe all calls run through their main number now: 800.325.1121. If you call after business hours you get a recorded message to call back when they're open.
