Which George is the original, which is the copy? Or are they both forgeries? The EP is on eBay. The Miami card has been discussed previously on this board for its similarity to other disputed sets in the past.

My eyes tells me that the George signature on the post card is the same signature that is on the rear EP cover. It looks to have been cleverly re- printed onto the record cover. The N part of Harrison was printed over the TH of the record cover.  IMO, The postcard signatures look to be signed in  real ink and the record signatures appear to be totally different and not signed in real ink..  If the consensus is that the post card signatures are fake then i guess both George signatures are fake.

It appears to be the exact same signature to me too. I agree with spaceman that it looks like the Harrison signature was reproduced onto the EP. I’m going to try to find the Lennon signature.

Further info. The above record was sold by thomas watson auctions, Darlington UK in early August for 1900 pounds.

Estimate£200.00 - £400.00, Buyers Premium 27.00%

Description

Twist and Shout 45 EP single - GEP 8882, bearing two signatures, John Lennon and George Harrison.

The estimate and limited description would indicate that the auction house were not convinced..

I couldn’t find a match for the Lennon signature.

Yes, there are a lot of 1964 Lennon's out there.
