He doesn't exsist, i used to work at an auction house owned by crooks in the cincinnati area "EASTON AUCTION COMPANY" where the guy who claims to be him would bring car loads of autographs at a time. I asked him on more than one occasion where he got all his stuff and every single time he would act like i didn't say anything and keep going about his business. One night when i got home i Googled the name John Scarborough and J.S. sports investments and just as you said found nothing!!! The next day when i went into work i asked the owner of the place about the guy and told him the way he would ignore me when i'd ask him that and he got very offensive and tried to avoid the subject. I mean seriously who in the hell would have the money to month after month buy car loads of autographs and some of very very famous people "Babe Ruth" for example, just to re sell them at auction for a fraction of what somebody would have to pay if they "WERE" real. They have entire auctions on Proxybid once a month where 98% of the stuff is from this one guy.GET REAL!!! So pretty much what it comes down to is don't buy any autograph if this guy's name is anyway associated with it. .

I must say that I just fell for the scam!  I bought an autographed guitar from Easton.  I called to get info on J.S. Sports.  They referred me to the rediculously long email address on the certificate of Authenticity.  No response yet...... holding breath.... still holding breath.

FYI... Take at look at the similarities in their email creation style:

JSSPOTSINVESTMENTSVERIFICATION@yahoo.com

&

eastonauctionshipping@YAHOO.COM

Is it me or did the same idiot create these rediculously LONG email addresses?  GUILTY!

Wow. Thank you C!!!!!!!!

VERY IMPORTANT EVERYBODY READ!!!!!

I wouldn't have known about this story if it wasn't for this blog.  This is why this blog is important.  I'm sorry you got ripped off but you are getting the news out there!

Thanks for the support.  I wrote to the J.S. SPorts email to only recieve a BullSh*t response today:

RESPONSE:

COA is for a Autographed Electric Guitar - With Multiple Autographs from Rock N Roll and Blues legends. Includes, Paul McCartney, B.B. King, Pete Townshend, immy Page, Keith Richards, Joe Walsh, David Gilmour, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Santana And Eric Clapton are the ones that we identified. There are other autographs on the guitar that were un identified.

Jon Scarborough has been collecting autographs and sports meorabilia for over 50 years and maintains one of the largest collections of autographs and sports memorabilia in the region.

For security reasons and privacy issues and to protect our extensive collection of autographs and sports memorabilia we choose to sell from time to time some of our inventory and we use outside sources to help us with this.

It would be a conflict of interest for us to give an appraisal for an item from our collection.

Matt -

Did you buy something from Easton Auction?  If so, I think we both got ripped off.

Gary,

Sorry to hear you were ripped-off. Tell the story and post images please.
