Hello Everyone,

I recently made a great buy and was able to purchase a signed LP by the late guitar great Mick Ronson. The seller was a record store and mentioned that their was a second signature on the album but that they werent sure who it was. When i received it, i did some research and tried to find who it was as well. I looked at the credits for the ablum and the guys Mick played with but didnt see any names that seemed to match. The First name seems to begin with a J. its very hard to make out from the scan, but their is a pretext that says "To Dave" before the signature. This may be a real easy signature, but i cant figure it out on my own. So i was hoping someone out their may be able to help me out. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much

Chris

This was an easy one. It's Ian Hunter. He is famous for his time with Mott the Hoople and also Hunter/Ronson. If you look him up on the internet you will find all the information that you need about him. He was also a very good friend of Mick Ronson. I have included my own Ian Hunter autograph that I got 1989.

Great find!

Thank you so much Bjarne. Lol, its pretty obvious now that its an I and not a J.

This is the second Mick Ronson sig that ive gotten at a very good price. Right at 40 dollars. I think thats a steal. One is a signed 7' and the other is the LP above.

Does anyone out their have an idea what a reasonable price for a Ronson sig would be. They arent that common from what ive seen. I def dont want to sell but just curious.

Thanks again

The demand for Mick Ronsons autograph is not that high. I still think that you got a real good price for them. I would pay that for them. A fair market price should be between 75-150 Dollars. Just because the demand is so low. (I could be wrong, this is just a guess.)

Over this past weekend I stumbled across 2 LPs signed by Mick Ronson one was the LP Play Don't Worry and Slaughter On 10th Ave. whick aside from the Ian Hunter auto, looks the same as this....in pen and in almost the same spot. 50¢ for the top one & a buck for the bottom one....Sweeeet!
