Caught 2 eBay sellers in blatant lies today about how they acquired their items
First is this pair of signed Michael Jordan 1985 shoes with asking price of 100k.
He said he's had them for years and that I'm an idiot if I think they sold for 400 a few weeks back

My bad. I was wrong...he picked them up for 385

Then this guy is selling these shoes he "thinks" Jordan wore even though they are too small. Says they've never been for sale publicly and were obtained by a friend of MJ...except I found the original listing where it says they were found in a storage locker lol

Why lie about that stuff when you can easily find out the truth?

Some of the posed photo's they have on that site look fake to me. Could be just the old type camera used. The photo with Stallone and Ali especially look odd.

Thought i would drop a line to let moviecollectible know that they were trying to sell a secretarial Heston and added that i was doing so so that it did not affect there ratings and they reply is as follows - i also added that i thought that the 'to scott' was in different writing and pen on the second photo. It is noted that he does sign his reply Dan and Scott - In light of the above post could they Dan and Scott Schwartz??

Any thoughts?

Well, I so thank you for your "expertise" ... I was thinking, could this person TRULY be an expert, UNTIL...
WELL, SORRY to say, this was obtained in person by MY SON ! Neither are secretarial and the large photo
on his bedroom wall, he was standing on the other side of the table from Mr. Heston when he signed it to him !!!!!

Perhaps you DID NOT READ what the description says, DO U feel OR think I could be LYING ?
Are you the keeper of the Heston Estate and /or you feel like you have to upset everyone's business for some
reason ?

Everyone "THINKS" they are an expert, I'm sorry to inform you BUT we got 25 8x10's IN PERSON and the 16x20
as well signed, right in front of my sons eyes, NO via mail, NOT secretarial ! The prices were $25 ea on the 8x10's and $50 for the 1620
He did an appearance at the Hollywood Show - Beverly Garland Hotel in North Hollywood for Hollywood Heritage (the preservation of films), it was for CHARITY!

Mr. Heston sat there for 7 hours and signed away, OF COURSE there was different pens, have U ever been to an autograph
signing? There are probably 10-20 markers every celebrity goes thru during a signing, he probably signed 600-1000 items
that day.

SO here U go, I googled it, HERE IS THE LINK TO WHEN IT WAS SIGNED !

http://www.hollywoodheritage.org/newsarchive/summer00/signings.html

Now, What else would you like to "TRY" to say about this item ?
PLEASE, come back with something creative.
Dan/Scott

- moviecollectible

Regardless of who wrote it, it's completely unprofessional if not flat-out juvenile.

Dont know much about Heston signatures, but from his reply, it is obvious he has gotten similar messages before regarding the authenticity. The response is typical of someone selling bad items. Quick to insult, and quick to be a smart a##. He is digging his hole if he keeps this up

My guess, the whole Dan/Scott thing was included b/c he was alerted to the post here about the Heston. Why else would anyone sign a reply like that

Yeah, no doubt the loser has seen this.

It is funny to read the article that there was a limit of two items per person. That means that it was a family of at least 13 people that was waiting in line for Mr. Heston. But the seller is right that Mr. Heston signed between 600-1000 autographs that day.

Always a funny story to hear. Put a smile on my face.

Carlos, There was a guy on EBAY a few months ago. He had a Muhammad Ali "Used" jump rope with a wrinkled COA from Angelo Dundee. LOL !  He said he had it for years and it was trying to sell it for $4,800.00. He told me he bought it from a reputable auction house. When I asked who they were, he said he forgot. LOL  The truth behind this rope was ,he bought it 6 months prior on Ebay for around a hundred dollars. That seller got it from a sports mem. Co., who were so dishonest they were forced out of business.

You ask why people lie? IMO ,the answer is for the greed of money.

I think it's still up
In a triangle shaped shadow box right?

Yes ,That is it. Most Ali used jump ropes had taped handles. This one doesn't ,so I questioned him on it. He replied that it appeared there was tape at one time ,but was removed. Again the love of money will make people do strange things. Carlos, on Ebay there is a Chevy poster of Ali and Jordan signed by Ali, check it out.

I remember him from the movie with Richard Pryor. I bet I watched that movie 25 times as a kid. I'd rather have his autograph than that Heston.
