Why I spent $200 on an unverified Obama autograph

The one on the left is the one I got. The other two are verified examples with great provenance. The one on the right sold at RR for $643.

These are earlier examples (2004 ish) of his autograph. I studied and studied it. Taking aspects from both it just looks good. The "O" starting with the curl and coming back around to go slightly under the curl ending just after the line for the "O" . Seems as though that would be tricky to forge.

So did I make a good choice or a blunder? Is it possible that my research scored me a good investment or did I flush $200 down the toilet?
