I am hesitate on this one. The signature seems a bit smaller than usual. The vast majority of times his signature the top and bottom of the "C" is connected and it's not on this photo. It's been some time since I studied Gable but I would lean toward "no" on this one.

In fact, the more I look at this the more I don't like it.

I agree. After I posted the piece and looked at other bona fide Gable signatures, I came to the conclusion it wasn't the real deal.
