Hi, it's too small to gauge authenticity from. Please post a big, sharp image of the autograph (all of the writing). Thanks
It's on eBay.
Please post a link to it.
He's not expensive and from a distance nothing in the autograph (all the writing) concerns me, except that I can't tell for sure it's original and not a copy.
I'm no specialist in Schweitzer but I don't recall others where he signed in similar spots. If it's real, it's a choice piece. Schweitzer signed photos are usually priced from about $150-$250. A real one that looks like this would be worth stretching on.
BG,
It's still blurry and I won't give opinions on photos like that. If he won't send you a crisp, large image then I would not buy it.
A large, sharp photo of the crop. Tell him to set his scanner at 300 DPI or higher.
I agree. Thanks for assisting me with avoiding what might have otherwise been a mistake.

Sure. Sometimes sellers just don't get how to image correctly. If you like it, keep at the seller to get you a better image. It appears to be signed on a genuine photo based on the edges. I thought it could be inkjet based on the graininess of the photograph, but the edges tell me there's a decent chance that's not the case.
I have purchased some political memborablia from the seller in the past and he appears to be genuine. Of course, I fully appreciate that the most well intended sellers do sell things that aren't authentic but they think or authentic, simply because they just don't know. I'll see if he'll do a better scan.

Hi Steve:
I contacted the eBay seller with the Dr. Schweitzer piece and he was gracious enough to send me a close up of the signature area.
What do you think? Yes? No?
