Is Disney World in the business of authenticating baseball autographs now....?
Im not sure how old this is. This is for sale on craigslist, im interested in it, but only if it seems genuine
I wouldn't touch it myself.
Even if those aren't forgeries, there's no way of telling from this picture if they're preprinted or what--and I wouldn't trust Disney World to know....
If it was an in person COA, I might be a bit more willing to believe it, but the wording in the COA says it was issued after the fact. By Disney World.
Not to mention there's no wording on the COA except a handwritten number that connects it to this specific piece, and I don't see anything on the piece connecting it to that number/COA.
Combine that with the fact that it's a COA for baseball memorabilia issued by DISNEY WORLD....yeah....
Maybe I'm wrong and Disney Word did authenticate baseball memorabilia with high standards. I don't feel like Googling that right now. But I personally don't trust them.
Picture is a bit too small, can't tell if its bad or good for certain.
I compared to my Berra and it looks nearly identical, but I don't have the best eye for this sort of thing. It's also not the hardest signature to forge.
I don't know Mantle well enough to judge.
I'd say yes on the Mantle.
the signatures look authentic, but not sure if they are copies. would have to see in person.
I've seen these COAs before, but look at the COA, that's not Disney's logo. And I've never heard of "Walt Disney World Company." Most COAs I've seen, as I recall, have been for questionable items as well.
This all smells really fishy. I'd stay away.
