a friend of mine who is a good dude knows I'm a Yankees fan and pointed me out to this auction some people he knows I guess are having and There are more than just Mantle, there are some with he and Joe D and Ted Williams and Sandy Koufax. The Mantle ones are the ones I looked at and they just looked suspect to me. I only have the link to the auction site but if anyone cares to look let me know if they are real or fake please. thanks

I have never seen a GFA sticker on an authentic item. Those are all forgeries.

yeah they all looked pretty horrific to me.

All you have to do is do a Google search on "Mickey Mantle Forgery GFA COA."

I will, they looked like some fakes I've seen posted on here before, the way the I is in particular in Mickey.

It's all crap "authenticated (cough, cough)" by Steve Rocchi.

I hear ya. thanks for the heads up. I passed it along. They sent up red flags as soon as I saw them and I'm no expert but I trust the people here to call things what they are lol

GFA (Guaranteed Forged Autograph) stay away.

lol, good one!!!  I was never interested in buying any of that stuff but it's worth it to know what GFA is. I had a friend come to me (I don't know why that always happens, I guess they think I know something lol) with this auction site, he lives in Tennessee and said he knew the guy who ran the auction and knew I was a Yankee fan who collected Mick stuff. I went to the site and the Mickey auto just didn't look right at all so that's why I came here asking about GFA...Didn't even think to google because I've gotten so much good info and help from you guys that I'd rather just ask here. I told him what was up and sent him a link to those GFA forgery alerts on google and he said he would let the guy at the auction know about it. I told him I didn't think that the auction knew they were fake but even so that someone shouldn't be able to unload some known fakes and get their money back or maybe the auction did know. either way the autographs got called out for what they are and that is fake.
