This was in the Coach's Corner Auction that ended January 1, 2010. It was authenticated by forensic document examiner Christopher Morales. Do you think it is real or a forgery?

$320.00 for a Babe Ruth autographed rubber ball? The $320.00 final bid price says it all doesn't it.

OH MY GOD!!! Who is Foolish enough to even accept the thought of looking at this? Has anyone ever seen and held rubber that old? This is PATHETIC!! NOT AUTHENTIC! Also, Beware of the NASCAR autographs on that site! with the exception of one GAI Coa'd item, they are ALL FORGERIES!

I have a case of official league balls, they are made with horse hide. I don't think they made rubber balls in his era did they...I'll tell ya what this guy has, a real good trace machine/unit, probably hand made and accepts different types of pens. Alot of the sigs on here look like straight up/down and no trails at all...

and one has to be amazed where this will show up. I wonder if there is any relationship to PSA Charities & Fundraisers who you see at a number of malls (especially simons) where they have silent auctions. Charities are good but they leave out one small factoid - i.e. their products are mainly fascimiles, reproductions or copies of the original works..... Sort of like this one!
