Eric signed this guitar in October of 1989 at an art gallery on Robertson Ave. during an exhibit of Ron Wood's art paintings. The Rolling Stones were staying at The Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel as well as Eric Claption and many other celebrities. In order to be able to have access and obtain my autographs I checked in for 3 nights at the same hotel. I was able to obtain David Bowie, Michael Douglas (actor), and Liza Minnelli's , autographs as well as the many Eric Clapton and Rolling Stones signatures in my collection. Back at the art gallery I asked Eric Clapton to sign a picture of him, "To Stephen and Maria". The conversation went like this:
"Can you please sign this photo, to Stephen and Maria"?
"Who is Maria"?
"She is my wife"?
"Where is she, ...lets meet her."
""She is at home. She is about 9 months pregnant with our first child".
"And you are here trying to obtain autographs?" "Not too good".
We then both smiled and not only did he sign the above guitar which he had earlier that evening as he entered, but he signed several photos and CD covers.
