I was able to obtain Eric Clapton just about every year, at least once, here in L.A. from 1987-19998. Most of the times it was at The Four Seasons, or a couple other hotels he was at or resturants we followed him to, and just places by pure chance I would see him at. He was always very gernerous and quite actually very personable.
