If you post a higher resolution flat on scan of good quality you might get more opinions.

That's much better, but unfortunately I don't believe that it's authentic.

Can you possibly provide a hi-res scan of the signature and scans of the front and back of the photo?

I may have dismissed it too quickly as it does have some good characteristics along with some unusual ones. I don't think I've ever seen the second I drawn that way. The transition from the N to the D and the open D also look a bit unusual, as does the X. Some of it looks quite good though. Perhaps better scans would help.

Thanks for the additional scan. The 'Jimi' portion alone includes two characteristics I don't think I've ever seen before - the way in which the crossbar of the J is drawn, and the looped second I.

I asked for another opinion from a very knowledgeable source and he also expressed doubts about the signature.

Thanks.  I'm selling off my collection and give a full money back guarantee but it's one thing to sell a 20.00 piece and another to sell something like this if you don't know it's authentic with 100% certainty.  I'll hold onto it and not try to sell it. Thanks for your comments and help.
