Thank you. That is one reason I wanted a check or contract.  Never found a check, though.  I have a Bing Cosby TLS letter somewhere.

Bing is another one where secretarials certainly abound.

When you think about it, the amount of fan mail received by A-list people would have been overwhelming.  Joan Crawford was very generous as a signer, but still, most of hers were secretarial.  The secretarial signature actually looks more like what one would think Joan would sign.  Most people that think they have Andy Griffith, Jackie Gleason, Tony Curtis, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby etc., probably have secretarial versions.  Preprints are another problem as you and I discussed about Esther Rolle.

Yep.   Lots of secretarials as well from other heavy hitters back in the day....Laurel & Hardy, James Cagney, Lou Costello, Boris Karloff, Bette Davis, Carole Lombard etc. etc. .
