Here's a shot of me and the first ever Designated Hitter in major league baseball, Ron Blomberg. Ron was inserted in the opening day lineup as the DH for the Yankees when they took on the Red Sox on April 6, 1973. He faced Luis Tiant and walked with the bases loaded in this historical debut.
