About Me

What kind of member are you? (Check as many as apply.): Collector, Fan, Other Professional

What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.: Jim Hallowes here and I have been a movie buff, director member of the Directors Guild of America since 1984 and I'm a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (The EMMYs). I'm also a long time autograph collector, back before it was such a business like it is today. Here are some photos and samples in case you have an interest. I'm selling my home and want to sell much, if not all, of my autograph collection, including: John Wayne, Richard Nixon, Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Orson Welles, Louis B. Mayer, Gregory Peck, autographed script from the final show of the iconic TV series M*A*S*H, also the signed "Pilot" script for "The Sopranos," etc., etc.

A little walk down my autograph, and movie memorabilia, collection, memory lane.... in case it's too small, starting with Don Ameche and a very young me. Durante, long time friend and Academy Award nominated actor Tom Berenger (back when he was still an airline steward for Eastern flying to Puerto Rico) Orson Welles (I did the Paul Masson "We will sell no wine before its time" TV campaign with him), Ali, Reagan, Orson again, Jay Leno, with Warren Beatty on the "Bugsy" set, worked many years with Dolly Parton, Foreman, Justine Bateman, Evel Kinevel, Magic Johnson, more Dolly, Chuck Heston, Dizzy Gillespie, and Drew Carey.

What is your level of expertise?: Intermediate Collector, Advanced Collector, Long Time Lover

Why do you want to join Autograph Live?: Interested in possibly selling some of my rather large autograph collection and could use some help!! Thank you!

What are your areas of interest?: Sports, Books/Literature, Modern Hollywood and Stage, Classic Hollywood and Stage, Music, Space/Aviation/Military

Why do you collect?: I got "bit with the bug" many, many years ago... Don Ameche and Jimmy Durante were a couple of my first ones.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?: Signed script for the final show of the iconic TV series M*A*S*H and a John Wayne and the pilot script of The Sopranos and lobby cards signed by Sinatra, Peck, Taylor, etc., etc. I've got hundreds if not thousands of them!

You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?: John Lennon, Jesus, Hitler, Marilyn Monroe
