Started this discussion. Last reply by Steve Cyrkin, Admin Feb 27, 2023. 2 Replies

An original 1986 vinyl of Metallica's Master of Puppets, signed on the insert by the full band including Cliff Burton. Approaching 550 USD when I posted this. Not familiar with the seller…Continue

Jagger, Petty, Gilmour - seller kissbasement on tradera.com

Started this discussion. Last reply by Cogo Dec 1, 2022. 7 Replies

This seller (kissbasement, from Halmstad, Sweden) seems to have a lot of autographed items that he claims were signed in Birmingham in the 1970s and 80s. I have noticed before that some seem…Continue

Oryxandcrake replied to Cogo's discussion Roxette - real or fakes?
"The first set is definitely fake, feels slowly drawn and wrong size. The second one is better but my guess is that it is just a better fake. "

Oryxandcrake replied to Steve P.'s discussion What is on your autograph bucket list?
"I thought so too, but apparently those who met Lemmy are not selling their signed albums. Lemmy's autograph is really hard to forge, if you know what the real thing looks like it's a no brainer to spot the fakes even if some can be quite…"

Oryxandcrake replied to Steve P.'s discussion What is on your autograph bucket list?
"Motörhead - preferably classic Kilmister/Clarke/Taylor but any line-up will do as long as Lemmy's autograph is there. Unfortunately most signed Motörhead today is either fake, ultra expensive or both even if the band always signed…"

Oryxandcrake replied to martass's discussion Ozzy Osbourne
"They don't look good to me. I'd say the Vol 4 and Ordinary Man are definitely fake, and is it a bad fake of a Ronnie James Dio autograph on Vol 4 too? :)   The first two are better but I don't like the Z's, never saw an…"

Oryxandcrake replied to James McEvoy's discussion The winner takes it all-with all 4 members autograph
"I have my doubts about this. Benny and especially Björn are very sloppy, they have some similarities to their "regular" IP autographs but it's really hard to tell. Frida looks off, probably copied from a real autograph like the…"

Oryxandcrake replied to Nelson Calzada's discussion Kiss Alive 2 signed
"Came here just to say that they were fake looking. One common mistake is to mess up the relative sizes of the autographs. "Paul's" here is way too big compared to Gene's and Ace's."

"Secretarial. Doesn't look like Gene's G at all."

Oryxandcrake replied to ste72's discussion Real Eddie Van Halen? I need a Quick opinion
"Also just noticed Eddie's autograph is too big compared to the others. His real signature from the Van Hagar era is rather small compared to Sammy's and Mike's."

Oryxandcrake replied to ste72's discussion Real Eddie Van Halen? I need a Quick opinion
"That's a no from me. Something is off with every signature, and Eddie's may be one least likely to be real.  I met the band during this line-up's era and have a couple of IP signed albums to compare with."

Oryxandcrake replied to TennesseeJed's discussion Iron Maiden Full Band
"You already know the answer, but I can confirm. Fake, and a terrible one.  The forger doesn't even seem to know what their real signatures look like, except maybe Adrian Smith's but that is still obviously fake. Real Maiden's 80s…"

Oryxandcrake replied to Ben Hill's discussion ABBA fully signed album. Wembley 1979. The real thing?
"Also, the signatures look too "official". Their "street" autographs are much simpler in appearance, Agnetha rarely signs her last name, Frida's signature is just that, "Frida" and a heart, and Benny usually just…"

Oryxandcrake replied to Jason Twist's discussion Is This Motley Crue Autograph Real?
"That would make more sense, but then the placement is a bit TOO perfect. Same angle, right over the right member's photo.. it's not impossible but quite unusual. Especially from an instore signing where they usually try to sign fast so as…"
