The 3 Faces of Doris - Will the Real Doris Day Please Stand Up

I'm a big Doris Day fan. Love her voice and thought she was an underrated actress. Not a big fan of those iconic movies with Rock Hudson and Tony Randall, but I enjoyed a lot of her earlier musicals and her few dramatic roles: Midnight Lace, Julie, Hitchcock's second version of The Man Who Knew To Much and her terrific turn as Ruth Etting in Love Me Or Leave Me. Why do so many experienced autograph sellers not know how to package properly?

I'm not talking about inexperienced sellers here. I'm talking about sellers with feedback in the thousands who feel that putting a photo in a semi-rigid envelope barely larger than the photo with just a sleeve or perhaps some semi-rigid cardboard around the sleeve is enough protection for an autographed photo.

I've been buying more online lately, a lot of it to fill holes in my Sopranos collection. And it's been truly disheartening to see what a high percentage of sellers don't use…

Found something great for MLB autographs!

Recently while I was browsing on fleabay, I came across a guy who says he was the first Creative Director at Upper Deck from 1989-1992. It seems he squirreled away numerous sets of 1991 and 1992 Upper Deck Heroes Of Baseball Commemorative Sheets that were originally given out as SGAs at baseball games. Upper Deck produced a lot of these individually numbered promotional sheets, mostly as SGAs, throughout the 1990's. But these 1991 and 1992 sheets are hands down the cream of the crop IMO…
