Hi gang,
Yes, I know that most collectors are tired of hearing about how much of a grouch David Crosby is...I've already told my lovely story about meeting him.
However, I decided to channel the talents of Weird Al....and rewrite the CSN classic "Teach Your Children"...about Crosby's grouchiness....enjoy.
He, while on the road
Is very cold to his large fanbase
And he must love himself
Because there's never-a right time or…

Hi everyone,
Throughout the last few years, I have had the honor to meet approximately two-thirds of the living members of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Often, I meet this legendary gentlemen at card shows, where, of course, they are required to charge fees for their autographs. However, at other events, I have witnessed some of the living immortals of Cooperstown signing autographs-absolutely free of charge.
Of course, there are some Hall of Famers who either…

Tonight at New York's historic Beacon Theatre, a special benefit concert was held in honor of peace activist Wavy Gravy's 75th birthday. An eclectic mix of rock, folk, and blues icons performed in celebration. Naturally, this show presented many opportunities to obtain autographs from the performers.
I arrived at the Beacon around 1:30, right as some of the performers were conducting their sound checks. One of the first notable figures I saw was the birthday celebrant himself. Wavy…

For the past 2 1/2 years, I have regularly attended the spectacular sports autograph shows held by the amazing crew at MAB Celebrity Services. The shows, which are regularly held at the Sheraton in East Rutherford, New Jersey, are put together by promoter Mollie Bracigliano. Not only is Mollie one of the premier sports show promoters in the business, but she also serves as the exclusive agent for such baseball greats as Cal Ripken Jr., Eddie Murray, Willie McCovey, Tom Seaver, Rod Carew, and…

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your comments about my Diana Ross post last week. I realized that what happened wasn't really as much of a reflection on Miss Ross as it was about her organization, from her security, to her PR firm, to her personal assistant. Maybe they just didn't inform her as well as they should have.
But I must say that last night made up for that. Aretha Franklin, who, sadly, is battling a brave fight with pancreatic cancer, was holding a huge…

Hi everyone,
About a week ago, I was given some great news. Not only was I going to receive a complimentary media ticket to the Diana Ross concert tonight, but after the show, I was going to be given 10-15 minutes for an interview with Miss Ross, to be held backstage in her dressing room.
This was to all happen tonight-I had even arrived in the area of the theatre hours…

Hi everyone,
First of all I would like to thank Kimberly and Steve for publishing my first Broadway article this issue. I sincerely hope that you all enjoy it-look for the next installment in August. I have been spending quite a bit of time lately conducting interviews, both in-person and via telephone, with various celebrities on behalf of Autograph. So far, the definite highlight has been my interview with comedy legend Bill Cosby.
I had contacted Mr. Cosby's…

Hi everyone,
We're very lucky in New York to have a large variety of concerts to attend and/or collect autographs at on any given day. We are equally lucky to have such an amazing variety of venues to do so at. One popular venue is BB King's Blues Grill in Times Square. The club is often a venue for tribute bands, but, on occasion, some of rock and roll's true legends perform there. In fact, in the past year, just by waiting at the stage door there, I have gotten in-person glimpses of…

Hi all,
For the past few years, I've been going to Florida each February for spring training. I've obtained autographs from such stars as Jason Giambi, Tommy Lasorda, and Randy Johnson this way. This year, however, practices started a bit late-and therfore I was only able to go to two camps. The Phillies camp in Clearwater was very spread out-meaning little to no opportunity for autographs. I didn't see a single player sign at all. At the Tigers camp in Lakeland, however, there was a…
