I don't like it. But let's see what others think.

Hey Jim Y, this is my first ever post on here as a member, seing your interest in Nirvana/Kurt Cobain autographs, I thought I would share some knowledge of mine to you.
As a teenager growing up in the Uk, I was a huge Nirvana fan, Kurt Cobain being my hero since 2000. I collected the magazines, albums, books & bootleg's etc, I own a number of tickets & related stuff from the UK 1994 tour that never happened sadly. But my number one item and gem of my music autograph collection, is my 10x8 Kurt Cobain autograph.

The background info of my auto, was that I spent a year hunting down a genuine one and finding the right dealer - Alan Homes of Autographs-rockandpop, UACC & AFTAL. I even emailed the Great Britain Autograph Council, not sure if this place is still going, but they told me at the time around 2006, that they bought off Alan themselves. He's been in the game for over 40 years and dealers even go to him to have their signatures checked by him, he's a great guy and 100% Genuine. But he had a few Kurt Cobain/Nirvana related autographs, that came from a deal he did back in 2002 with a guy who worked in Nirvana's Uk management offices in Soho, London, I even checked this out myself. My autograph was of a limited print of a show they did in July 1993, wearing his infamous black and white sweater while performing, they was a very limited number printed something like 3/4 known as ''Colour Kurt's'', detailed more by the ex-worker to Alan at the time via email. But at the time I bought mine, it was 2007 and then from experts the price for a genuine Kurt was £200-300, despite the crap I saw for sale on eBay at that time for £150 for instance. I was to pay £280 for mine, 6 months down the line the price rocketed, I knew I got one at the right time and from my research they were about to go up, I acted quick.

My Kurt autograph is very basic, simply Kurt, it's nice and clear but you can tell it was signed back in the day as they say, I really checked mine over & over believe me. I knew from an interview I once saw with two workers of his UK management, who kept going over doing business with him in France 1994 for the tour he was about to do over in the UK, that it was heavily connected especially the photograph being taken within a year of his sad death, that it was proberly signed in 1994. I could of imagined a fellow worker saying to another to get them, while the other was going over to France to see him & the band for instance.

The actual signature is joined on mine, I have also seen genuine ones all connected too, another tip I have noticed, that just before he would start to write the K, he would slightly catch not always mind, the paper/photo, leaving a slight mark very light. Mine has this and I have seen Autographs  of his at Christies with the same mark, just something I have noticed myself while studying his signature.

On a personal note and from what you can gather of me here, I would not touch a autograph off eBay, this one I would leave alone buddy. Anyways I hope my info/story helps!!!!

I'm not sure if every autograph on their hompage is really genuine.

The Don Henley looks really bad.

Hi J.Seah,

Yea sure no a problem, I'll just take a quick one now on my blackberry. I have it stored away from sunlight or possible damage threat as you could imagine. But I hope the pic is ok for you to use otherwise.

I don't like the Nevermind signed LP. Why would the seller takes picture of the signed LP in that blurry plastic sleeve. He claimed that this a consignment sales. Too many red flags.

That too true J.Seah!!!!

I can remeber a few years ago on eBay, when I saw a black and white Kurt Cobain photograph, which was of Kurt, Courtney & Francis, made to look like a Record company promotional photograph, with the words '' A tribute''. The seller had an exact date of the signing, I can not remeber actual date or full info, remebering top of my head here, but it was sumthin December 1991 with a actual location too!!!! I thought well that's funny, because that photograph was taken August 1992, so how the hell could Kurt have signed a photograph of himself that was not taken unitl 9 months later!!!! Nevermind the '' A Tribute'' obvious inidcation it was printed after his sad death.I didn't really need to look at the signature, which was a complete dodge looking signature by the way. It taught me the lesson, just the background info can prove a fake straight away nevermind the signature!!!! the asking price was £150 in UK sterling.
