Babe Ruth Autographed Baseball Drew Max AAU Video "8 On Your Side" Las Vegas Marc Goldman

Check out this video on a autographed Babe Ruth baseball "authenticated (cough, cough)" by Drew Max.

It's an ugly (the kind Coach's Corner sells every month) Babe Ruth forgery that was purchased for $1450.00 by a gentleman named Jim Clemmons.

I believe the Babe Ruth forgery was purchased under the Proxibid.com auction platform.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the buyer (Jim Clemmons).

Here is a link to the investigative report by reporter Michelle Mortensen and the video.

Wow.

This story gets even better.

Ebay seller 410fiveofus just today (March 02, 2014) listed that Babe Ruth forgery.

Ebay has since removed it.   Below are screenshots of the listing.  I want to add that the seller listed it with full disclosure.  Please click the screenshot images to get a better view.

It's not exactly like Pete Rose holds the highest standards. He will pimp his signature anywhere he can get paid the most.

I wonder is this seller the guy in the video that purchased it?

Good question, Erich.  I'm thinking it was someone else.

Jim Clemmons purchased that Babe Ruth forgery for $1450.00 and Ebay seller 410fiveofus had the starting bid at $2500.00.

Thank goodness Ebay removed that garbage.

I never had any amount of sympathy for Jim Clemmons.  He deserved what he got.

Actually, Rick, I was on Ebay and there it was on the Ebay home page.  I recognized that slop certed by Drew Max immediately.

What I don't understand is why this forgery was not destroyed.  It`s been undoubtedly proven a forgery.  Why would this Jim guy sell a forgery to someone else?  He is just as bad as the guy who sold it to him.  That proves that he doesn't give two craps about this hobby.  I hope he never finds an authentic Ruth.  D********.

Still impressive Chris. With all the autographs you look at it's amazing they don't all start running together.

Rick, I do it every day to keep my eyes trained.  It's no different than working out physically.

But every once-in-awhile you do need a break to refresh.

I believe its the same guy because he said he was intending to sell this for a profit and was upset when PSA and JSA rendered it not genuine.  Also I feel that statement is particularly ironic because he told us he got it for 1450.00 and he tells the potential buyers to not buy it with the intention of selling it for a profit, which is exactly what he was doing there....

That description basically told the buyers that if you want to spend 2000 for a fake Babe Ruth ball for your collection then here ya go.. Lord who would spend 2g's to put a fake Ruth ball in their collection.
