Ebay Removed My Derek Jeter 2001 Fleer Monumental Moments Autograph Card Listing Policy

Well, it looks like Ebay is now attacking those who are exposing forgeries listed on their website.

Obviously Ebay does not like the fact that I am exposing the forgeries that are listed by their scam sellers.

First, photos of my Derek Jeter "2001 Fleer Monumental Moments" autograph card numbered "85/95."

This is a Fleer issued Derek Jeter autograph card.

Below is the email I received:

After reviewing your eBay account, it appears that you have violated eBay's Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item policy. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Listings have been removed. A list of items that were removed can be viewed at the bottom of this message.
- We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).

The listing that was removed appeared to violate eBay policy or a rights owner's trademark. Please remember that you are responsible for the quality and authenticity of the products that you offer on eBay. It is against eBay policy to list any counterfeit items.

For more information please see our Replica, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies policy:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html

Here are the factors we consider when we review your listing due to authenticity concerns:
-Your listing was brought to our attention by members of the community, who expressed concern with the authenticity of your item. When we receive a report we will investigate and make the most appropriate decision, keeping the interest of the community in mind.
-Insufficient description of the item. When creating a listing, keep your buyer in mind. Most buyers want to know the item's condition, size or dimension, etc.
-When there is a question about the authenticity of an autograph, we require that it has a certificate of authenticity from an approved authenticator. A list of approved authenticators can be found in our help pages.

Please be informed that we are committed to preventing the sale of unlawful goods on our platform. Kindly take note that this removal is not to question you as seller but to help you improve your future sales and make you a better member of the eBay community.

Please be sure your current and future listings follow these guidelines, keeping in mind that additional violations of this policy could result in the suspension of your account.

I agree 100 percent, i also had my items pulled about 2 months ago. I called and they gave no explanation, they refused to tell me anything. I just cant wait until the person responsible for this is outed. Not only are they going to be in for some legal action, but ebay also could potentially be responsible. This is just disgusting. I cant wait until this slim bag is outed and the truth revealed. This person is either an EMR or best buddies with an EMR guy. Corruption truly knows no end. But if this EMR slime bag thinks this will stop forgeries from being exposed, they are wrong.

Carl, in truth, when you speak to a Ebay rep about an incident like ours, they really don't have a clue as to what is going on.  They really don't.  When I spoke to the rep yesterday, I was already aware that the person I was going to speak to wasn't going to be able to assist me.

The key to my conversation was my own sending a message.  That's why I insisted that the conversation between myself and the Ebay rep be recorded.

Don't tell Me...Tony P. is working for e-bay???

This is a pretty sad day when E-bay is pulling legitimate items for retribution against those who speak out about forgeries and their willingness to sit on their hands and do NOTHING.

E-bay is becoming nothing more than "ALWAYS FAKE AT AUCTION". Hey E-bay, I'm out!!!! I stopped buying autographs, but now...even the Tommy Bahama Shirts, Curlers, Pool Supplies and Gold are OUT. LOL Sorry DB, no more stalking through my E-bay account. LOL I quit!

ARE YOU F'N KIDDING ME! This just solidifies the fact that all my auctions being removed a month or so ago was no ACCIDENT. This is unbelievable, my blood is boiling. We report/expose cheap obvious forgeries with blatant LIES in the titles/descriptions and eBay does NOTHING, yet our no question authentic items are yanked without hesitation. Hmmmm. Just unreal. As I have been stating quite often lately, a lot of the blame is on eBay, they enjoy the massive profits they receive off of forgeries. Sickening.

Yes, Ryan, it was no accident that your auctions were removed.   There's a bad egg over there in Ebay land.
