Forgeries Offered By DK Listing of Fairfield Ohio: Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Michael Jordan, Roger Maris, Ted Williams

This is a continuation of my previous blog:

http://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/llp-auction-forger...

As many of us know, Ebay has done a decent job removing forgeries from their auction site over the past twelve months, but during that time the forgers and sellers of forgeries have found other outlets to sell their forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Michael Jordan, Roger Maris, etc.

Over the past year or so, these forgeries have made their way into local auctions and these local auctions are springing up all over the country.

Numerous sellers of forgeries sometimes use an online auction platform titled www.proxibid.com.

One of those sellers is DK Listing, Fairfield Ohio.

Below you will find photographs from some of their auctions.  Unlike my previous blog, the forgeries shown below are the typical forgeries that we sometimes see on Ebay and eventually get removed.

First, a link to the listings of DK Listing.

First we have an autographed baseball containing the forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider and Willie Mays.  The COA is from Hollywood Sports & Memorabilia, who was the first client of Chris Morales.

Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball listed by DK Listing, Fairfield Ohio.

Another Mickey Mantle forgery on a photograph.

Mickey Mantle & Joe DiMaggio forgeries on a photo.

Michael Jordan forgery on a basketball.

Another Mickey Mantle forgery listed by DK Listing, Fairfield Ohio.

This one is ridiculous.

I will end this thread with a really horrific Roger Maris forgery on a bat.

I bet the people who have consigned this garbage to DK Listing, are very aware that they own forgeries, but instead of doing the right thing and destroying them, they would rather dump this crap on someone else who will eventually do the same thing.  Sickening to say the least.

I was going to do a blog on Aaron Joseph & Company, but I will wait and see what Proxibid does with their auctions.  Below is one of auctions listed by auctioneer Aaron Joseph & Company, Tallahassee, FL.

Please note that Aaron Joseph & Company did the right thing and pulled the autograph auctions that were listed under the Proxibid platform.

Kudos to Aaron Joseph & Company.

The people at DK LIsting are also aware these are forgeries for they have been told several times.
