In the last couple of days I've sent two notifications to Ebay about a seller by the name of...king-neil...
The guy is selling a 5x7 black and white photo of Elvis with a screened signature as genuine. Last week he sold one to a guy in Switzerland for 7 hundred dollars. And he's right back this week with the very same picture...very same signature with a buy-it-now price of $444.
I've sent the guy two personal messages through Ebay telling him I know what he's doing, called him a scumbag and dropped a few F bombs as well. My question is what can I (we) expect to happen here. Is the guy likely to withdraw the item. Will Ebay take the information seriously. Or is this all a big joke...and the jokes on me ??
probably nothing as well; sad but true. Also they have changed the encryption on buyer's ids so you can't contact them either
Here's the irony; you can actually be suspended or banned by Ebay if you did use the "F-Bomb" in your emails to him. That is, if the seller reported your messages to him.
As a matter of fact, years ago, I used "LOL" in my message to a seller of forgeries and I received a warning from Ebay "To stop that activity."
As for the forgeries, Ebay booted the EMR team years ago just as they were making a dent in removing forgeries from their auction site.
In my opinion, Ebay was taken aback by the lose of revenue due to the removing of forgeries and now the dirtbags of Ebay are running amok.
In my opinion, Ebay encourages the sales of forgeries and the use of shill bidding.
Hi all...
Well I log on to Ebay this morning and I find I have received a warning notice directly from them. It has to do with the fact that I used some swear words in talking to Mr. king--neil went him my thoughts last night. The Ebay notice warned ME about my conduct adding that I must not be familiar with their policies which Inow take to be...."you can't unload on or disrespect even the criminals around here..."
So I checked the guys listings this morning and the phony signed Elvis photo is still for sale with an opening bid set at 444 dollars. I did send Ebay another notification about this guy this morning and I made another attempt to contact him (the seller) but with no luck. He must have changed his settings!!! So I hve a plan I'd like to run by you guys....here it is....
The auction ends this Thursday. Should I bid and buy it at the last second and then...while I have "EVEYONE'S" attention...refuse to pay for obvious reasons???? What would happen in that instance??? Would I finally get the full attention of Ebay and would they then investigate?? Or would I be shunted off to the bad-boy file and hurt MY reputation and standing on Ebay???
I would very much appreciate your responses.
Don, just before you posted your message, I posted my comment above.
Yes and hello Christopher...I saw it after I posted...
I appreciate your thoughts and this turn of events really saddens me. The good guys are warned while the crooks run free. What a system !!!
I would very much like to her what you and other folks think about the plan I have proposed. Buy the item and then stand-fast on payment. Can I expose this guy in that fashion?? All his feedback with all of his trasactions are public. His criminal history is there for all to see. Would it work???
I think you would only be hurting yourself, Don. The seller would be refunded their final value fees and you would be left with a non-payment strike. The seller could then relist the item.
Well folks..."ask and you shall receive"...
I've just done a complete check on our friend the Ebay seller known as ...king--neil....and the listing with the phony Elvis autograph has been removed. He had added a buy-it-now price earlier today (Sunday) but it's gone now....all gone !!!
I then did a check of his "sold items" and it's not there either.
Pleased to say that for the moment at least the heat that was put on this king--neil worked!
Until the next time...
His name is Neil Santossio. He contacted me about purchasing it the preprint photo.
