My personal elo collection.

Hi everyone as a new member id like to thank everyone for there help on a few items that i had purchased for my wife and as you could tell very nievely to.

My specialist field is the electric light orchestra of which i have been a fan and collector for over 30 years.I have many lovely collectables but here id thought id share a few items.Dedicated lps to myself from mik kaminski including some original strings that had played some of the bands favorite hits,bev bevan,and kelly allP1000951.JPG obtained in person.Iv a lovely signed jeff lynne nrw lp which was obtained in the states at a awards evening,also a cd signed by a members of the band that had played in the earlier years plus my favorite a fully signed face the music tour programme and ultra rare ticket.This programme was obtained by a guy reporting on the review of that evenings gig for the birmingham evening post news paper,kellys signature is nice as its in his full name which was common before 1978,after 78 kelly would have signed in the modern smiley manner which he styled right up to his sad passing. kelly dedicating this lp to myself only 8 weeks prior to his death.Hope you enjoy the pics if your a elo fan like me.

Comment by IAN STALS on August 23, 2012 at 8:44am: Hi ted cheers mate,took a long time to put together using very good sources and hi end collectors to establish genuine signed items,luckly getting to meet most of the later line up helped.My goal is to obtain a dedicated sign lp from each member of the band who played around the 76 to 1978 period.I require gales,Mcdowells and lynnes although a chap from the states was going to try and get jeffs for me in la last week but it looks like nothing came of it.If any member on this site associates themself with jeff and maybe able to help id be most grateful.Jeff rarely visits the uk.Oh ted once my signed hutchence card arrives from roger i'll pop a picture on a.m.l.Cheers for your help pal.ian

Comment by IAN STALS on September 17, 2012 at 1:07pm: Hi guys just want to share my latest elo addition which im so pleased to have.This was obtained for me to order last week at the grammy museum to promote and show the new film based on jeff lynnes life and rise as a writer and founder of elo.Iv been waiting 5 months for a dedicated lp from lynne.This was not easy as the museum just hate autograph hunters so this was sneakly done,in fact according to my source only two items was signed as jeffs managment has caught wind on a lot of lynne signed items end up on ebay when jeff thought he was signing for fans.Im glad if jeff is being advised to be careful who to sign for at such events.Gilmour,waters of floyd are of the same mind set so maybe this maybe a new trend to reduce items ending up on ebay.
