Dave Eggers did an odd kind of short story interpretation of Wild Things in a recent New Yorker. Interesting reading.Seeing the poster pushed my Google button and I just learned that he's written a novel based on the Sendak novel and the Spike Jonez screenplay. The novel's due out in October, same as the film. Amazon is offering the hardback and a special "fur-covered" edition. Hmmm.

Speaking of the New Yorker, my caption is going to win this time. I guarantee it!
Is it me, or does this movie poster look odd? As a child, I remember reading, and loving, this book. Mainly because of the great illustrations. This almost looks a bit to computer animated or something.

One of the biggest wastes of ten dollars I have ever spent. This was just one of those children's books that had no need in being turned into a movie. The movie was extremely odd and scary for many young kids who were in the theater at the time. Failure on converting this classic to the big screen...
