I'm watching a TMZ from a week ago, and I saw Anderson Cooper signing autographs. It's always amazing to see newscasters being swarmed for autographs. If I had a run in with a legend like Dan Rather or Walter Cronkite, unless I could think of something clever to have him personalize...otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

I saw the movie Precious tonight. It goes down as one of the worst titles in movie history (even surpassing "Ice Station Zebra"). The full title is something like: Precious: From the novel "push" by sapphire.

Not sure why they didn't just call it Precious. I heard they wanted to call it "Push" but another movie with that title came out a bit earlier.

Anyway, it's a very dark film, but worth seeing. The fantasy sequences add a nice bit of levity and fun. And in a few of them, she's a famous actress signing autographs for fans.

I got to meet Jane Pauley last winter when she was campaigning for Obama. After she talked about obama, i asked her for an autograph. She said sorry that the autographs were lousy because she was standing up. I told her it seemed like yesterday when she was on the today show and her comment was they were showing a flashback! I tried to get Katie Courics autograph when she was on the today show and never got a response back but when she took over on cbs nightly news, i tried again and got a response back right away. I have also tried Matt Laurer and never got a response?
