PSA did it again.

This is a common forgery.

How did PSA screw up this obvious and blatant forgery!!!!

I've observed this Derek Jeter forgery-style hundreds of times on Ebay.

Here's a side-by-side. The one on the left is an authentic version and the one on the right the forged version authenticated by PSA.

Comment by BC on August 7, 2024 at 11:28pm: PSA has become incompetent lately. My trust in them is fading. Between stuff like this and fake Chinese Beckett stickers, 3rd party authentication is looking really bad right now.

Comment by BC on August 9, 2024 at 12:05am: I figured it was recent. Our recent PSA group sub got a bunch of Chevy Chase autographs rejected by them, even though they are very obviously real. PSA is all over the place, no consistency.

Comment by DPsCactus12 on August 12, 2024 at 12:28pm: salt of the earth. when their authenticators and graders have 35 seconds a card this is what you get. but for what this could have potentially been worth, should have spend a little longer or rejected it. not like that cost the submitter pennies. it's probably a $500-$800 submission.

@BC for the Chevy, are they the leaf metals? There was certainly one year where many were thought to be fake (maybe 2022?), but the newest batch as bad as they are look to be more in line with what he does now. I got one a few months back or so, amazing how leaf just torpedoed Chevy's value to the $40 range.
