Thank you, B.B. King! Share Your In-Person Autographs and Experiences

UPDATE: B.B. King passed peacefully yesterday, May 14.

I've been sad since hearing the news, that B.B. King is in hospice care. It was confirmed by a statement by King on his website, BBKing.com:

“I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas.

Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers.”

King has packed more life, expression and creativity into his years than probably any ten of us put together ever will. And I can't think of any popular music artist who treated his fans better. Can you?

I've never met King, but many of us have. Let's thank and celebrate B.B. King by sharing your experiences meeting him, and the autographs he signed in-person for you.

And thank him.

I'll set up a discussion for B.B. King autograph authentication, so please don't post anything but autographs you received in-person here.

Thanks, Mr. King, for the joy you've brought us by singing the blues.

Hi Steve! no problem, glad i could share this on a great site. I just noticed Brains 25 cents Drive in AWESOME! Was that an old sign for a horror movie at the drive in? lol

It was a place that sold fried brain sandwiches in South St. Louis.

You mean BB's Bone and the drawing of the pocket knife? What does that mean?

Images all better!

The pocket knife I guess is the deboner.

Thanks for fixing the pics

Ben Cash = BB's trombone player. That's a drawing of a trombone.

That photo of BB is my favorite.  He was 17 and on the legendary station WDIA (still called the heart and should of Memphis) as The Beale Street Blues Boy.

Is it a trombone? LOL . Can you imagine Ben cash being introduced on stage ( And here to my left is B.B.s Bone) poor guy. All kidding aside that is a great picture of him. The whole feel and mood of that shot screams blues. It was a pleasure to meet him and all the band members at that time. And someday he will be walking into that large room filled with all the former great Bluesmen. What a concert that will be.

I remember being told one of the band members was a relative of B.B.s, was it Walter?
