I recently ordered 2 signed guitars and 1 LP. The guitars signed by all the members of Led Zeppelin and the LP by all original members of The Guess Who.
They were a gift for my friend in New Jersey who is like a brother to me. You see I'm a 63 year old vet, I'm disabled and in a wheelchair due to dealing with RA for 20 years now along with…Continue

Hello to everyone, and thanks to the moderators for allowing me to become a member of this fine community. I’ve heard good things about Autograph Live and I support it.
I respect everyone's opinion as well about anything signed or reportedly signed by any or all members of the Beatles, whether I agree with their assessment or not. It’s clear you care about…Continue
“Meet the Beatles” with in-person autograph collecting veteran John Brennan as you hear the exciting evolution of an uber-rare signed Beatles guitar obtained over the course of several years. From first getting George Harrison—who famously refused to sign guitars—on a pickguard in 1997, he meticulously formulated his strategy, getting Ringo on…Continue
Watching different Star Wars actors sign autographs for the last few decades, I started trying to figure out the numbers. How many pieces have been signed? How much value should be attached to each autograph? What are the prices that these actors charge vs. what the actual value should or could…Continue
There have been countless write-ups and articles about what to look for when it comes to buying autographs. Most have the same information such as "if it's too good to be true it probably is," and recommend comparing the autograph to known exemplars, secretarials, autopens and other references.
Instead of discussing the technical aspects of…Continue
Someone asked me about the most important info for the more advanced autograph collector that has decided to expand their collection to include Star Wars. There is so much to know that I feel that this post may ramble a bit as I put things in as they come to mind. Many of the items I will mention are helpful facts for any type of collector.…Continue
Collecting Star Wars autographs is possibly the best hobby in this world or any other. But the hobby, just like the films, has a dark side. Forgeries, secretarial signatures, dealers without the proper knowledge and mistakes by authentication companies can give even the best collectors heartaches and nightmares.
With all the hype surrounding the release Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and the promise of the remainder of the new trilogy and stand-alone films…
UPDATE: B.B. King passed peacefully yesterday, May 14.
I've been sad since hearing the news, that B.B. King is in hospice care. It was confirmed by a statement by King on his website, …Continue
The Runaways, the first all girl rock band that played their own instruments featured two members that also had break-out solo careers. Joan Jett was the first to gain recognition with her 2nd solo album "I love Rock N Roll" as well as various other hits and cover songs through out her career. I always liked Joan and her big eyes and punk attitude. I got the opportunity to see her open up for the Kinks back in 1987 and she put on a great show. I never got to meet her, but I hope to this…Continue
Four different classic rock acts came through NE Ohio last week and I decided to go to 3 of the shows. First, Todd Rundgren came to Kent for "An Unpredictable Evening". I'm not a huge Todd fan, but I do like his music so I decided to take a chance to see if anyone had an extra ticket to this sold out show. Luckily, got a $40 for $30 ( I love not paying full price). Todd and his band sounded very good and played a variety of
cover songs including 96 Tears, Muskrat Love, and Fire.…Continue
I've been a fan of Cheap Trick since about 1982. I remember hearing some of their popular songs on the radio before that, but I believe that is when I bought Live at Budodan on cassette. After that, I was hooked. Then we finally got MTV and watching their live performances and some of their crazy video's made it even better. I continued to buy their albums: Dream Police, Next Position Please and One on One. Finally I got to see them live in 1985. They opened up for Heart and the next…Continue
I was first made aware of Kenny Wayne Shepherd in the early 90's when people were talking about this young guitar phenom. I bought his first CD a few years later and was pleasantly surprised. In 1998, he opened up for my favorite band Van Halen (yeah it was the tour w/Gary Cherone on vocals). I was in the 7th row on the floor and was blown away at his musical ability and guitar tone. I actually caught one of his guitar pics too! I bought a couple of other CD's over the years but always…Continue
Just noticed that rockinmemories4u the company that has been selling fake/ fraud signed memorabilia on ioffer for 6 years has now jumped on the band wagon and started selling their goods on Amazon. Their name on Amazon is rockin memories autographs. Guess they don't know when to stop. Please post this to other collectors and warn them of this company. I believe his first name is Tom.
I was a victim of a company called rockinmemories4u. I purchased items from them, ranging from albums to guitars. Only recently when I went to have them certified was I informed that they were fake signatures. I was so embarrassed and pissed. The items were purchased over a year ago. Now that I look at what they are selling I know now . How stupid I was, thinking I can get signed items from deceased musicians for such cheap prices. I bought a beatles signed album for 1,300.00 Please pass…Continue
Can certain historical situations regarding signees increase the value of their autographs? The reason I ask is because I recently discovered something very interesting within my 9/11 aftermath paper ephemera and autograph collection. Here my story:
I came across a program I hadn't looked at for awhile signed by then-United Nations Representative of Egypt, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. I spotted him in the audience of talk in February 2002 by military historian and novelist Caleb Carr about…
