Thank you, B.B. King! Share Your In-Person Autographs and Experiences

UPDATE: B.B. King passed peacefully yesterday, May 14.

I've been sad since hearing the news, that B.B. King is in hospice care. It was confirmed by a statement by King on his website, BBKing.com:

“I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas.

Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers.”

King has packed more life, expression and creativity into his years than probably any ten of us put together ever will. And I can't think of any popular music artist who treated his fans better. Can you?

I've never met King, but many of us have. Let's thank and celebrate B.B. King by sharing your experiences meeting him, and the autographs he signed in-person for you.

And thank him.

I'll set up a discussion for B.B. King autograph authentication, so please don't post anything but autographs you received in-person here.

Thanks, Mr. King, for the joy you've brought us by singing the blues.

Amen, Steve.
Can't count the number of times BB's blues chased away mine.
And he's the only musician whose playing I can identify in one note.

He's also the nicest man you could imagine.
I had the opportunity to spend about half an hour with him on his tour bus last spring.
And he did sign my favorite BB picture for me...the one on a greatest hits cd cover...BB at WDIA radio when he was 17.

I've found many great blues guys are fan friendly.  BB is the coolest of all.

I had the privellege to meet Mr. King probably 5 or 6 times and he was always kind and gracious.  This is a photo of us together that I had made into an 8x10 and had him sign the next time I saw him.

Here is a guitar that he signed for me. It is not a Gibson but an Aria Pro that he signed beautifully for me.

Here is a photo of Mr. King signing the guitar. I have also had it authenticated with a full LOA from JSA.

BB is a true legend. I had the privilege to meet him many times, and was even able to spend about 30 minutes on his tour bus with him a couple of times. Always a class act and always happy to sign autographs for fans.

I saw him 2 years ago here in Charlotte. Sat right up front , bought a signed picture, got a pick. He came out in a wheelchair, put on a great show! Its the first time I'd seen him, I'm so glad I went! Love these wonderful pieces guys. Great thread Steve. Thank you B.B. king!

I met B.B. several times over the years. He was always kind enough to sign after his show. I do remember him more than once saying he would only sign one. A guy in front of me tried2 and he said you dont listen do you man. I said to myself Oh please dont blow it for me. He didn't- everything was good. I will show the heavy stock book photo he signed for me in-person and a white card with a printed signature that I believe was sent to me through the mail-non authentic. I will also include signatures of his whole band who signed for me in the 90's.
