Springsteen, Stern, Travolta -- all signed this week

I just typed a long post on this, and for some reason, it didn't show up.

Bruce Springsteen was signing as he left an event. I saw him sign a Born to Run album, which not only is a classic album...lots of white space so the signature would show up nicely.

Howard Stern, who often walks while he signs, is in LA with his wife. She's doing lots of shows promoting her new book on dogs.

And John Travolta, always one of the best signers in Hollywood...was talking about planes with fans and signing up a storm.

Hey Josh, what city was Bruce in when he was signing?

Know if only the boss signed through the mail! John Travolta is awsome through the mail.

Ya know what, Stephen...I'm not sure. It looked like he was coming out of Radio City Music Hall in New York. And the story right before it, talked about Radio City doing this insane concernt with Sting and some other huge artists, to raise money for some charity. I thought it was all part of the same story.

Robert...although you've done through the mail so much more often than I (I rarely do it), I do know that an artist as big as Springsteen probably doesn't do that. Travolta is probably the rare exception for an A-lister. Although, I've also heard some of Travoltas thru mail have been secretarial (certainly, that one line he uses for a signature, would be easy enough for a secretary to duplicate!)

That makes sense. I think I should of asked if it appeared to be east or west coast. If he was here on the west coast and I missed him, I was ready to get mad at myself and mad at some people that are supposed to call me when he is in town.

I have known people that after 20 years still try Springsteen in the mail and with no luck whatsoever. I can tell you stories: I have dropped off items at his management office in both NY and had items fed ex to Conn., handed items in person to his management team, and tossed stuff through his limo window with a SASE. All of which has been the big goose egg. The only way I have gotten Bruce is eye ball to eye ball and more places away from L.A. than here in L.A. (Phoenix, Denver & Cleveland, have been real goldmine's, and L.A. during the 1980's and early 1990's, but rarely in town here since).
