Unfortunately, Peter, this site is a small microcosym of the greater community.  It is the greater community that has a "flea market" mentality that always reminds me of the commercial "start the car".

The last thing the greater majority of ebay buyers think to do is google Albert Pujols authentic signature or the buyer they are purchasing it from.  Even if they did it's doubftul that they would read the listings..

Look at this Albert Pujols forgery sold by Ebay seller scooba55steve,

It sold for $51.00!!!!  Does the buyer of this crap really think they got an authentic Albert Pujols signed baseball for $51.00!!! 

These buyers are half the problem with the forgeries being sold on Ebay.

Seems like our friend scooba55steve has relisted every single item that was pulled down. How exactly does this happen? I mean does ebay allow this to happen so easy? Who would one have to contact at ebay to do something about this?

@ Chris Williams, That is a beautiful Pujols ball is'nt it..  How can people possibly think that they bought a real Pujols ball for $51 when he is almost a $400 baseball. Amazing..

they don't go back and monitor.  with thousands of daily involvements I'm not sure they can even if they wanted to.

Hey guys, a little friendly advice.  Don't let this garbage eat away at you.  We do what we can.

How do you think I feel.  I've been doing this for almost ten (10) years, so I know the frustration you are feeling.

We do what we can.  There are hundreds, if not thousands, of low-life sellers of forgeries on Ebay.  Years ago I used to blame Ebay for this entire problem.  For the last two years Ebay has done a very good job at eradicating forgeries, but the problem is so enormous, that it is impossible to contain and erase. 

We do what we can.

While not letting it get to you is good advice no matter how aggravating it becomes;

over on by RareandSigned thread; this item http://www.ebay.com/itm/KEITH-RICHARDS-SIGNED-Book-LIFE-H-C-1st-Edi...  was surfaced a few days ago.

I can guarantee it has been reported more than once for having a banned COA from rarandsigned.com with the listing.  It's still there.  Does it take time, sure but why chance the "buy it now" and some buyer then is potentially forced to go thru the camcellation process.

It's a no brainer with a banned coa... so we will agree to disagree with EBAY has done "a very good job" at eradicating forgeries.  There may have been an uptick when JohnG took over the helm but he is gone and imo it's marginal, at best.  Even when he was here there are dozens of COAs & Sellers that ought to have made the banned list - those were no brainers as well.

They do just enough perhaps to avoid a class-action.
