They buy a Lou Gehrig "signed" jersey for $3,000--and it's the only one known! If it were real it could bring 6-figures.

Dig the info, but bro, that video composition is scary! Ok , I have "inside" knowledge of reality TV, producers control most aspects of content. That being said, the truth is sometimes skewed or adjusted to fit, that's the best way I can say it. I have a friend that thought wife swap was a good idea, easy way to make 50k, that's what they paid each couple for airing. They made it on, on the second day, things were moving too slow for the 20 something Twinkie producer, so he paid the other wife staying with my buddy,100 bucks cash to leave the fridge door open all day and ruin the food. She fessed up to him, they actually agreed not to fake anything together, she felt bad. The Twinkie tried one more time by asking her to leave on the water faucet in an upstairs bathroom. She didn't do it, anyway, the episode ran and turned out to be really good and not controversial, go figure...I don't watch reality TV, it's fake!!!!!! Except Cops...

Good work that’s crazy. It is sad that people do stuff like that. I can tell that you have great knowledge in this field. Keep up the good work. I have a collection that has over 2,000 autographs. I would say that about 90% to 95% of my items are through the mail. I don’t really know if they are real but then again, I don’t sell them! Thanks keep up the good work. Robert E. Sigler

Xtreme Collectibles mixes PSA/DNA, JSA and Upper Deck with garbage authenticated by forensic document examiners like Morales. It gives the deceptive look of legitimacy to those who don't know what's really going on.

Well done. Great investigation for an obvious bogus collectible.

Hundreds of autograph sellers do the same thing; they mix in legitimate stuff from UD, Topps, Steiner, etc. with their forgeries. Also, many of those sellers of forgeries will use the money from the sales of forgeries to purchase authentic items.

Re: Christopher Williams says "Hundreds of autograph sellers do the same thing; "

NO , Legitimate dealers do NOT do what you suggest. That doesn't mean others have the same unscrupulous mentality and behavior as you or these dealers you associate with! There are Thousands of violent thieves out there, does that make it "right" or mean YOU are suppose to follow their manic way of life?
Your commment is LUDICROUS!

I think Chris is right. Most new fans and collectors end up getting burned by the bad guys before they learn how to identify good sellers, good authenticators (which are not as popular outside sports), and learn what to avoid and how to buy safely. These are the dealers that can best afford retail galleries in choice destination locations like Las Vegas, Hawaii, Scottsdale and Florida--both because of their huge markup, and the unending supply of excessively rare items.

There are probably be more of them than there are of the good guys--with the exception of sports. And by the time they figure out who to do business with, most are so burned they don't want to guy an autograph again.

To "Mike Miller." Are you calling MY comment "ludicrous?"

To "Mike Miller." I did not call them "legitimate dealers." if you reread my comment I wrote that they (the crooked sellers) mix legitimate autographs with forgeries whether they are selling on Ebay or from their own website. And many of them finance their purchases of legitimate autographs by selling forgeries. I never called them "legitimate dealers."

And by the way, I am the "tomtresh2" that does those YouTube videos.
