We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Yeah I've seen the books pretty cheap. Even albums now are going cheap. Seems this signing tour really brought down his value.

BIG THANKS!!!

Hey - Bill Fraser -

Did you open it?  Is it 1 of 1,500 still??

thanks

Mark

Once you open it,you can't go back. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Hi Mark Roberts. I was back and forth about opening it. Will it lose value if I open it? Is the autograph smeared ( should I check it?). These are the things I'm struggling with.

I hear you!!  All depends on what you want to do with it.  Open it and enjoy or put it away and save it for a rainy day. :)

Unless you 100% intend to resell it, dont open.  Personally, I would anyway.  Id like to know the number of the book, and Id like to make sure the autograph is good (not smeared as you put it).  Plus its nice to compare it to the other book autographs for consistency.

I can't go into detail now. First of all I had to hide it in the closet from the old lady when the delivery guy showed up. I ran into the other room, took a fast picture, put it back in the box and into the closet
When she's not around I'll decide what I'm going to do
Here she comes!!! Later

I decided to open it but I've been away. You convinced me to make sure it's good. I'll post a pic whenever I get home. Please comment on it after I post it. Thanks
Bill
Just got home and opened the packaging from the Bruce Springsteen book from Barnes and Noble that I got last week. Figured it would have been a higher number. Here's a pic. Please give your opinions. Thanks

Where the pic.. :)
