Sting has the worst autograph ive ever seen.
It Looks like stings sig

This is from few weeks ago - and this is actually not the ugliest one. I´ll try to get agreement from my friend who got much more worse.....

That makes my point, thanks for sharring, almost impossible to authenticate these days just based on his signature alone.

Also - you can get something like this.....

Ha!
Did you get photos of Sting signing it?

There are some pictures, but I have no idea whether there are pictures from actual signing (I highly doubt about that to be honest) - it was extremely rushed, it was all done in about one minute when he went from hotel door to his car (and it was the only moment when he signed! just on his about 5 meter way from hotel doors to his car). Just very fast, and actually very unpleasant experience - he was quite annoyed and simply showed us that we bother him and he doesnt like that. Actually for me -it was the first time ever when musician behaved like that - so unpleasant experience...

You can tell he doesn't like signing, like Neil young. A signed book isn't a bad idea in this instance.
Im amazed that dealers go to the trouble to have a tpa authenticate,Stings signature, squiggle.
The question for me remains, what constitutes an autograph these days, when you would barely authenticate these signatures just on ink alone.
Thanks guys . I agree he has a terrible sig generally . Psa dna authenticate loads of them squiggles . The pic peter put up first looks typical to what you would get and looks genuine . U can see similarities with the s and t to the one on the bookplate in the pic i posted. The 2nd pic is an awful sig but he does sign like that often . He certainly doesnt come across to me as being the most friendliest of people . Hes gone even more up his own backside over the years . I do believe even more now that genuine fans have to suffer because of the idiot moneygrabbers with celebs sigs. His generation are less tolerable with the sellers and tend to also tie genuine people in that category also .ive seen a few of these books in recent times. Some signed on a special bookplate like this one while others rushed on the title page. Seen an item signed similar to this one on a photo by a great seller autographs rock and pop over here in the u.k. had the smiley face on it . I doubt youd get that type of sig from him outside a venue or hotel . Obviously done thru inside sources that can get him where he hes not in a hurry .
The money grabbers as you call them Pete, seem to want to control the hobby and market, which to me really places the hobby in a very strange place today. Pete as you mentioned, the dealers has caused a downward spiral in the way artist sign items and now they want to tell you buy from us because of the source it came from, it really is the end of the hobby.
