Hall of Fame Memorabilia

Hi I am new member and first of all before I start you guys are doing a great service for collectors of autograph memorabilia. With this in mind I would like to ask if have anybody dealt with Hall of Fame Memorabilia.

They have for sale an autograph Jimmy Page and Robert Plant photo that I am interested.

I ask them if they had a larger image of the autographs but unfortunately they indicated that they don't have any other images of the item. Well if I'm spending my money on something I would like to get at the very least better images.

I also ask them if I buy the picture and send it to PSA for an evaluation and if it does not pass would I get refunded. They said the following:

“About PSA: Items given to PSA can still be real even if they don't pass. Note that

PSA is an opinion and no one who works there is a forensic examiner. PSA

Opinions are not even allowed in courts because they are not experts.

Only forensic handwriting examiners are allowed."

In addition, they said: "If you want to return the item note that there is a 10% restock charge and will not reimburse if it does not pass."

This does not sound like a reliable dealership in autograph memorabilia. What do you guys thank about this?

Id buy it from someone else? 10% restocking? Is this Macy's?

They sound fishy at best...they should be able to give you a better image...for a sale to be made you would think they would accommodate you with at least a better image...and if there asking you for a restocking fee on an autograph especially if were to come back as not authentic then it seams they may not be very confident in what there selling...no to mention if someone is confident in what they sell they would add a life time guarantee on it no questions asked...I don't know... that's just how I feel on it

I just took a look at some of the auto's they sell which I'm familiar with, all I saw were secretarials, autopen signatures (including selling more than one of the same autopen signature), and forgeries. Just on their response alone and the laughable mention of forensic document examiners I wouldn't purchase from them. Include an unclear guarantee and a mysterious restocking fee and you should really avoid them.
