I recently started my son an baseball collection. First thing I gave him was an autographed Stan Musial glove that belonged to my grandmother. I have paperwork showing she bought it from a home shopping channel in 93. Just wondering if the products these networks sold are legit. Definitely want him to have a great collection with no fakes.

while these shows did sell some items that turned out to be forgeries, this one looks good to me.
Awesome! Thanks for your input
Jennifer, since you and your son are new to autograph collecting. I thought I would just make a few suggestions.
1) Try to learn as much about an autograph before you buy.
2) Since you’re new, try to look at items with a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) from the Big 3 legit TPAs (Third-Party Authenticators): PSA/DNA, JSA, and Beckett. REAL (Roger Epperson Authentication Limited) is also good for music autographs.
Also Frank Caizzo (spelling?) and Perry Cox are great for Beatles autographs.
3) While those listed above are reputable, like everyone they make mistakes. So if you find something from one of them, first post it here for opinions. The collective knowledge here is even often better than the Big 3.
4) You can also find a legit autograph that hasn’t been authenticated yet. If you do, just post it here and get opinions before you buy.
5) AVOID ANYTHING THAT IS AUTHENTICATED BY “FORENSIC DOCUMENT EXAMINERS” !!
6) HAVE FUN COLLECTING WITH YOUR SON!!
I appreciate the advice and am definitely glad I found this site! Thanks
