I bought this Steven Spielberg autograph on ebay, fooled by the seller's good feedback. I came to the conclusion a bit too late that it's extremely fishy for someone to sell autographs of people like Michael Jackson, Prince and David Bowie for less than £10. I also had another seller bidding to drive up the price, then suddenly withdrawing his bid after I raised mine. Only then did I notice the more recent negative feedback, accusing the seller of selling fakes and using another ebay account to drive the prices up. I feel pretty stupid, but just in case: any opinions on this autograph?

I am not an expert, but It doesn’t look right. You can check lots of them in google and non of them looks like the one you got.
this one right here is legit and is was written quickly:

Thank you. I checked google as well, and came to the same conclusion.

It's fake. The seller is currently selling right now on eBay. Prince, Michael Jackson, Star Wars, Trump, Kobe Bryant, J. K. Rowling etc. All fake and all being bid up by a shill account.
The seller is currently selling as 'autfarren' but has previously sold under at least 8 other accounts. It's being going on for months.
When I called him/her out on their fakes they threatened to pay me a visit to discuss things " face to face".
Negative feedback on another account said that instead of sending the "signed item" a decaying cadaver was sent instead.
A truly despicable individual and Ebay are doing absolutely nothing about it.

Yes, that's the one. I found out about his reputation after I won the bidding, but before paying. I tried to figure out what I could do, and he opened an non-payment dispute on ebay after only one day. Accompanied by a rude message. I ended up having to pay or get in trouble with ebay. But thanks for mentioning that cadaver. I told him I hadn't paid yet, because I found out he was a fraud. Before he actually sent me anything. God knows what he's going to send me.

The signature is not authentic IMO. The seller has been active and has had several accounts in the past 2 yearls always the same big names going for low prices

I feel pretty naive now.

most of us did the same at some point with a bad seller. Video if you can the package when it arrives from the outside to recording what's inside or take lots of photos. Then, open up a case with PayPal to return the items for being fraudulent and follow what they say to do. Once returned leave negative feedback!
