Hello everyone.  This is my first post and I've joined really to get some expert advice.  

I purchased this signed copy of Like a Prayer by Madonna in the very early years of ebay - late 1999 or early 2000.  At the time the seller's story was that he had gained the signiture in person from Virgin Megastore in London.  The seller was selling a few other items (not Madonna) that made me think they had an interest in acquiring signed stuff and the Virgin megastore thing stacked up with other items where there was 'proof'.

In those early days, I kind of felt ebay was quite an 'honourable' place and so I've always thought I did ok with purchase.  Of course, the seller could have just been someone very quick off the mark in making money  from scams and I know there's a chance it's a fake.!  A recent desire to put the issue to bed one way or the other led me here.

Hopefully I will be able to give back to the this online community in some way in the future but - for now - thanks to anyone who replies.
