Re Richard Burton Autograph

Any thoughts on this one. It is on a magazine photo/cutting

I have it on excellent authority that the signature is genuine circa 1964/65. Thanks for all your comments and info it was a very interesting discussion

it is always your own decision whether you keep an autograph that you did not get yourself as real or not. Unfortunately, there are too many forgeries and secretaries' signatures .... But also circumstances where you get an autograph yourself and it then looks different than the star usually writes (e.g. in a hurry, walking, in a crowd) I have some of them that are certainly as are deemed to be fake but were fetched themselves and are 100% genuine. e.g. I collected a frank sinatra in Vienna at the hotel after a concert and where he had some problems with a fountain pen and the beginning of the signature looks as if it was copied by someone else :-) And with the young stars it is often no longer noticeable, as well who often only write down a line or a ring .... only with burton there are still features that are relatively the same ... and here some who have collected it themselves have posted their opinion and examples ... and if your other expert convinced you then it's good for you and look forward to the signature ..

I agree entirely. You can only ever be 100% certain that an autograph is genuine if you were physically there to witness it, as you were with yours. However I would never knowingly buy or sell an item without checking, as best I can, it's integrity and will always rely on experts such as Autografica to advise me accordingly. Because of the comments made i also sent the scan to someone who I would class as an expert on Richard Burton and he confirmed Autografica's verdict. Thanks again for your input it was appreciated
