Here’s something very special! My father took this polaroid of Bon Scott outside of a radio station in Sun Prairie, WI back in 1979. Bon was kind enough to sign the bottom, but over the years it has been smudged and wrapped in saran wrap to prevent further damage. I tried to get it encapsulated with PSA a couple months ago but they rejected it for seemingly bogus reasons including “Item type was not commercially available at the alleged time of signing”... The polaroid camera used was my grandfather’s bought a couple years prior. Felt like they just took my $200 and never even inspected the autograph. Is there any reason for me to send it into Beckett for encapsulation or is this autograph just too smudged to be authenticated? What are my other options to keep this autograph safe from damage?
