Hey everyone. I was wondering where you guys find your high resolution images for send-ins and the like? Are there any go-to websites?

I see - may I ask where you find the best quality promotional and production stills?

I've always been curious how screencaps turn out on something like a 8x10 or 11x14 in terms of quality.

I only collect vintage so I am usually buying the item complete. Good stills and promos can be found online. Identifying them is a whole other discussion.

Here is a link to a thread I started about the qualities of an autograph:

Mine, the 8x10 by Greg Gorman on the left, sold for $850. The over-enlarged undercontrasted copy print brought several hundred less.

Thank you for the link to the thread!

Wow, that's an amazing piece. You can definitely see the difference between them. I love the vintage style style pictures, but as you say with the copy, the contrast is way off. Still an amazing piece regardless!

Most welcome. The thread covers more than this topic. Enjoy!

Screencaps are generally a bad idea for a number of reasons, and are almost certainly a dead end for 11x14s or larger. The exception would be if the video source was high quality HD and in 60 fps. Even then, it's probably better to look for still photos.
