High resolution images for send-ins?
Hey everyone. I was wondering where you guys find your high resolution images for send-ins and the like? Are there any go-to websites?

For movies, moviemarket.com and statesidestills.com (UK-based) have some good images and quality prints. I'm a bit out of touch on the sports market and licensed images there.

Thank you for the links! I'm looking for UK and US Movie/Film images anyway so those links are great. I've always wanted to do send an item in myself for the send-ins but haven't for fear of the quality being awful!

I haven't had any issues with poor quality from those sites, even for older pre-digital era photos. Anything modern will almost certainly look fine. I haven't purchased from either for awhile, since most of what I've collected is music in recent years, but I bought a couple 11x14s from Stateside stills just the other day, so I'll be seeing how they turn out shortly.
I think Stateside tends to use thicker quality photographic paper and you might be able to find some hidden gems through them. I actually brought and 11x14 for Jonathan Frakes to sign at a Star Trek convention years ago, and he hadn't seen the image in forever (or at all) and seemed thrilled to see it.

Probably should have asked from the start whether what you're looking for is relatively modern (digital era) or vintage? Or a mixture?

Pretty much all are modern day films/tv shows. There are a few images from shows that are screencaps that I'd love to get signed but I'm just worried that as 11x14 they wouldn't look great. I'm not super picky with them either, I'd just be looking for them to look clear enough that they wouldn't look hideously pixelated displayed. Most seem to be 1920x1080 in terms of the screencaps.

You can always try I suppose, but - especially at that size - it's really hard to get anything that looks even passable. A number of IP collectors seemed to do that quite frequently, and you can usually tell that's what they tried to do as the images definitely aren't anywhere near pristine. Again, 60 fps might offer some opportunities, but you'd almost have to experiment. The subsequent problem might be that any photo printing place (Shutterfly, Walgreens, etc) might have an issue printing anything that looks like there might be a copyright issue.
Modern images are definitely a bit less complex, as still were typically taken at ultra high resolutions suitable for enormous images and anything below. If you're getting anything from about 2005 on, odds are your image will look fantastic if not perfect. The ones I ordered were from a Narnia film (2008), so I can post them when they arrive. UK delivery is a bit spotty these days though when the USPS is involved.

Yeah a lot of the shows at least are from 2015 onwards, so the quality of them are great fortunately. Were the images that you ordered from Narnia screencaps or were they promotional/stills? I'd be very interested to see them when they do get to you!

Just arrived yesterday, and I'm still trying to flatten them out a bit. But both images look amazing (my camera phone, however, does not). Sharp hi res images at 11 x 14. Just have to pick which one I want to go with.

I don't know what the actual image size is - obviously in excess of 11 x 14 given the perfect quality. They offer prints up to 24" x 36" so I would think the resolution is at least 5400 x 3600. Again, the photos in person look much better than my photo of the photos above.

Those are copy prints - often enlarged, cropped and over-contrasted. I only pursue original copyrighted promotional and official studio production stills. The difference in quality is staggering. This is very important to me. The photo should have value apart from the signature. I am in the minority here...but originals are great display/discussion/selling points. YMMV.
