Both are not authentic, the Love Gun being the worst attempt.

Concur. Both are forgeries. The KISS item pictured at the top signed in gold is one of the MANY fakes I've seen over the years being peddled on EBay (and the like)- often being sold alongside some bogus story of the item having once previously belonged to the famed KISS fan and collector Vinny Gonzales.

Two key tells:

A) Simmons does not employ a lightning bolt 'S' and if he ever did it pre dates the invention of the paint pen. This signature is modeled after the Simmons signature used as a graphic overlay in the KISS ALIVE I booklet. Its got a sexy vibe and looks nice and all with the pronounced dollar sign, but it is a forgery.

B) The T-bar in the fake Stanley sig is dead wrong. It is inverted- making a sharp positive slope. A genuine Paul Stanley will yield a T-bar that has a negative slope- going DOWN from the left and NOT up.

The Love Gun LP is not worth commenting on.
