Robert Palmer signed 45 on Ebay

Hello all,

I have been trying to find an autographed cd or picture of the late Robert Palmer.

I saw this one on sale this week and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is real or another bad forge job.

Any help on this is very greatly appreciated.

I read your post about a signed 45 of Robert Palmer, although I can't comment on the authenticity of the 45 record on Ebay, I do have a signed photography of Robert Palmer I would be willing to sell, if you are interested. Please let me know and I can provide you with additional details.

Thanks for your quick reply. My wife and I attended a Robert Palmer concert in the summer of 1978 in Minneapolis and I took a few photographs. In 1983 Robert Palmer played in Vancouver, so I took a couple of photographs to the concert to see if I could get them autographed. Robert did autograph one of the pictures. So what I have is an autographed picture, as well as couple of photos from another Robert Palmer concert and some ticket stubs from those concerts. If you are interested I could take a few photographs of what I have to send them to you. Thanks, Peter

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you...here are a couple of pictures. They were taken with my phone, so not the best, but I think you get the idea. One of the photos is signed on the back. I can get you better copies of all the material if you are interested.

Thanks for sharing those Peter. I can't believe you saw Robert Palmer for $13.50.  Those are good pictures.  What are you asking for the one that is Autographed and for one of the ticket stubs?

Thanks for getting back to me and I apologize for the quality of the pictures I posted, it is hard to get a good picture of the photographs. I have attached a photo of "everything" (6 pictures & 7 tickets) I have. I will be honest with you, I have no idea what these are worth, I am not a collector I was just going through my pictures and thought someone may be interested in a signed photo of Robert Palmer and came across your post while doing an internet search. I would prefer to sell it all together, if possible. So, please let me know what you think it is worth and if you are interested in all of the items and we can go from there. Thanks, Peter

Hello Peter,  I am interested, as far as the value. I have seen the autograph go for as low as $75.00 and as high as $999 to higher.  Unfortunately most of the ones like the one I posted have been fakes.  The two that are on ebay right now look like the one you have which is authentic as you got yours in person.  Would you take $175- 225 for the lot ?

Thanks for getting back to me. Not being a collector, I didn’t realize that fake items were an issue. I think your offer is a reasonable one. Since I posted the picture of the all the items, I have found the original ticket stub from the Minneapolis concert where I took the picture in 1978 ( the picture that is signed). I will include that stub also. So, if you are willing to agree to $225 (the higher price for an additional ticket stub) for 6 photographs, one which is signed, and 8 ticket stubs We have a deal. Please let me know and we can work out the details.

Yes, unfortunately there have been a lot of forged and fake signatures of Robert Palmer, Prince, Michael Jackson, you name it.  Ebay is really a bad marketplace for them.  That was my main reason for joining this autograph live forum as one of the posters is an expert on Prince autographs and was hoping someone could tell me if that Robert Palmer signed 45 was fake or real. Based on your photo and the Signature from Robert Palmer in his Live At The Apollo album I am able to tell that the one from ebay I asked about is not only fake but a bad one.  Thank you so much
