Could I please have some opinions on this signed boot. There is also a picture of her wearing the boot. You can see the unsigned side of the boot in the picture with her wearing it. I zoomed in on it and I feel I can see the same scuff marks that are on the one being sold. I called Blackheart records and they said if her autographs are not personalized they are not real ( I personally don't believe that is true in every case) I would like some opinions. Thank You

A better photo of the boot being worn

It is not true about the personalization- she has signed a bunch of stuff for me that wasn't personalized. Sig looks good to me.

Thanks for the opinion Terry G

The signature looks good.

I would say as a rule she does insist on personalizations. This was certainly the case each time I've met her between 2000 and 2011.

I spoke to the seller and they said it was from an auction for cystic fibrosis in 1999 when Joan Jett had the real short blonde hair. If it was from an auction for a charity it wouldn't be personalized anyway. But the big clue for me is slightly zooming in on the right boot in the picture where she is wearing it. Then using a magnifying glass comparing the scuff marks on that photo to the up close photo of the boot

I got her in person this past Fall and she personalized even 1 album each for us. She also didn't want to use my pen.  Said - no she has one.

Hey Bill Fraser, since you've got a boot of Joan's, I have to ask- what is her shoe size? I've always wondered! My guess would be 7 1/2 to 8 1/2, is that right?

It's a Timberland boot but I don't see the size. Looks like the tag wore off on the inside. Sorry

Darn. Well, I appreciate the reply.

What about the sole of the shoe- might the size be listed there? [Sorry if you've already looked there too]

Regarding what Blackheart told you, they are young employees who don't know the most about Joan, they often just surmise. While it's true that she tends to always personalize her signed items, there are exceptions. I have seen footage of her just signing her name on someone's shoe, without personalizing it. So, I think the boot you have is authentic.

I checked there and everywhere. On the inside there is a worn label that looks like there may have been something attached to it but it's frayed. As far as personalization for an auction, you don't know who's going to win it so how can you personalize it. Have a goodnight JoanJettLove
