Hi everyone, do you got any ideas on this Jerry Seinfeld autograph? I've been thinking of getting a Seinfeld autograph and I think the signed book is some sort of a "self-proof" thus more reliable than other third-party authenticated items (photos, funko pops, etc). This particular one doesn't come with the "Signed Edition" sticker on the cover though, but I guess the title page is still different from the regular copies. Thanks in advance.

This is real.

Thank you! I'm also looking for some George Carlin signed stuff recently. What do you think does a George Carlin signed item worth? Does the signing style (early "full name" autograph vs later style) matter?

Im not familiar with Carlin’s signature. As a rule of thumb, a full signature is always better than a rushed or lesser signature. I tend to lean towards vintage stuff personally.

its good, I ordered one myself

Any book with one of the inserted pre-pub signature/limitation pages is usually legit. I can only think of one, maybe two, instances where there was extreme doubt on the validity of the page itself, and I seem to recall that it would be far too expensive/time-consuming to try to rebind a  book with a fake limitation page.

This looks like a limitation page tied to B&N copies.

Thanks for the information! Recently I just found signed books to be seemingly more reliable. I've read on this forum from someone stating that he'll only consider collecting a George Harrison autograph from one of his Genesis signed edition books. I think he surely made the point.

That's generally why I collect - it's harder to fake an inscribed copy of a book by a more-prominent author (though by no means impossible), and there are certain authors I've "spec'd" into (Stuart Maclean, Peter C. Newman, Margaret Atwood, any former Can. Prime Minister) where I find it's easier to collect/validate them because of the nature of the work/provenance.
