I would appreciate people's opinions about memorabilia from Field Of Dreams. I have been in their stores and while most of their stuff looks good, it is overpriced. I read something not long ago that AAU/Drew Max was performing their authentications a few years ago (and may be currently). I was under the impression that they held signings in the same manner that Steiner or TriStar did. Does anyone have any experience with them to verify? Thanks in advance!

I believe the Field of Dreams sports memorabilia stores are part of Mounted Memories.  At first glance, they seem alright.  However, there are two big problems I have with them:  1) They are insanely overpriced (at least the store fronts I've visited).  2) While their sports items are generally good (it is MM, after all), many of their celebrity items are flat out atrocious forgeries.  If you find a unique vintage item you are in love with, I'd have an expert check it out before purchasing.  If it's a modern or living sports star, I'd be shocked if you couldn't do much better elsewhere as far as the price goes.

Field if dreams from what I have seen on there site is full of fakes...feel free to browse my forgery file...I have a nice amount of fakes in my collection of photos you can compare too....there all horrible attempts...and as far as Max authenticating anything...I wouldn't touch any of his "authenticated" items with his cert. with a ten foot pole....he has made many mistakes on adding his "forensic" opinions on many signatures...most are obviously bad fakes he claimed are authentic...
